With the rapid growth of gravel cycling and gravel e-biking, demand for wider gravel rims is increasing—especially those optimized for 50C–55C tires. The G30-50 is designed for versatility: it delivers a fast, responsive ride on hard surfaces with its 50mm depth while maintaining control and comfort on soft or wet terrain thanks to its generous tire platform.

30mm Inner Width: Optimized for 50mm+ Tires

Gravel riding is becoming more technical, and tire trends are following suit with wider, lower-pressure models. Wider tires provide a larger contact patch, improving comfort, traction, and control across diverse terrain. On technical trails, this translates to smoother handling, greater confidence, and higher speeds.

Many frames limit tire clearance to around 50mm, making the 50C tire a mainstream choice. According to ETRTO guidelines, tires from 47C to 57C pair best with rim widths of 17mm to 30mm. For this reason, the G30-50 features a 30mm internal width, and its widened rim beads help reduce the risk of pinch flats.

The inner rim width is fully customizable. If your project requires a narrower or wider specification, our engineering team can evaluate feasibility and develop a tailored solution.

50mm Rim Depth: Balancing Speed, Stability, and Comfort

The 50mm depth delivers significant aerodynamic gains for riders seeking speed on hard surfaces while maintaining stability in crosswinds. To offset the increased vertical stiffness that comes with deeper rims, our engineers have optimized the carbon layup and reinforced key areas (including the rim beads) with high-elasticity fibers. This enhances both compliance and impact resistance.

Offset Hole Drilling: More Balanced Spoke Tension

The flattened inner rim circumference allows for offset nipple hole drilling, ensuring more balanced spoke tension across the wheel. The result is a durable, reliable wheel system that requires minimal maintenance.

By default, our rims come with center-drilled nipple holes. Custom offset drilling can be designed for specific projects upon request.
